Guidelines

NUTS AND BOLTS:

WHO:

Local Connections is a group of merchants and business owners from Camas and Washougal who meet together in an informal setting to share resources, expand their network, learn and support each other!

WHEN:

We meet the last fourth Tuesday of each month from 8:20 AM to 9:30 AM. 8:00 AM to 8:20 AM is reserved for social time.

WHERE:

Meeting locations vary. We will meet at a member’s business location. This way we will have the opportunity to learn more directly about each other’s

businesses. The Host will also get a five-ten minute speaker spot. To host an event or suggest a venue, contact Ken Cline, the Local Connections Facilitator, at KenCline@riverviewbank.com.

COST:

Currently there are no membership dues.

GUEST SPEAKERS:

Special Guest Speakers are welcome upon request and approval of the Local Connections Facilitator, and must generally be viewed as someone who can bring value to the Local Connections Members. Guest speakers get a ten-fifteen minute speaker spot. To inquire about speaking opportunities, contact Ken Cline, the Local Connections Facilitator, at KenCline@riverviewbank.com.

Average attendance is 25 to 30 professional business people. Email notification goes out about a week before the event to be able to provide an accurate count to the meeting host.

NETWORKING GUIDELINES:

PURPOSE:

To share resources, expand your network and build relationships over time by supporting each other

*We prefer a no solicitation type of selling be practiced at the events. However, we do encourage Local Connection members to schedule time with each other to enjoy “one to one” relationship selling.

*When bringing guest(s) please be sure that they are aware of & respect the Local Connection Networking Guidelines.

*When attending events, be sure to bring plenty of your business cards & any hand outs/information that you’d like to share with all.

*Occasional informational e-mails about your business or special offers are acceptable, but please try to avoid spam types of e-mail blasts.
